Where to Complain โ If You Are a Victim of Human Trafficking or Work Exploitation
Work exploitation is a crime. If your employer has not paid your wages, forces you to work excessive hours, threatens you, keeps your passport, or treats you unfairly, you have rights in Finland. You can get free and confidential help regardless of your nationality or residence status.
If you are in immediate danger, call 112 immediately.
Keep your employment contract, salary slips, work schedules, messages, bank statements and photographs. They may help support your case.
Report the situation to the National Assistance System, the Occupational Safety and Health Authority, or the Police. You can also ask for advice before making a report.
Victim Support Finland (RIKU) provides confidential guidance, practical support and legal information for victims of labour exploitation.
Trade unions can advise you about your employment rights, wages and legal assistance if problems arise.
If you suspect work exploitation or human trafficking, seek help as early as possible. Advice is confidential, and support is available even before making a police report. :contentReference
